Your Grampians holiday can never be complete without trying one of the most popular activities that the region has to offer. Whilst vacationing in the gorgeous Grampians, adventure seekers should definitely try rock climbing.
Walk across the majestic mountain ranges while climbing to the secluded lookouts for the best panoramic views of the entire landscape. This activity is perfect for families, couples and singles alike.

Rock climbing can be done at any time of the day, however, it is best enjoyed during the cooler mornings. As you climb, you will be able to see the gorgeous views of the mountains and verdant forests. After viewing the amazing scenery of the region, head to a nearby picnic area to relax and have a delicious meal.
Visitors travelling to this region during spring can enjoy the spectacular scenery of the blooming wildflower plants and a number of birds near the rock climbing sites. Mount Arapiles is truly a bird lover’s paradise during spring. Whether you’re interested in rock climbing, picnicking or bird watching, you will find everything to cater to your interests whilst staying in the Grampians.
For those looking for accommodation, there are many options available including hotels, motels, bed and breakfasts, caravan parks and various luxurious villas available near the rock climbing sites.
I’m wishing to make a booking for 2 adults on either of the following dates May 6,7,8 or 9th of May (preferably 7,8 or 9th).
Hi Steve,
We aren’t actually providers of rock climbing in the Grampians, but rather just a travel information website.
However, looking at the different providers in the area, i would suggest checking out http://www.hanginout.com.au or http://www.grampiansadventure.com.au.
Comparing the prices of their different packages, Hangin Out does appear to be the cheaper of the 2, as well as being more popular on Tripadvisor & Facebook.
Have a great time!
Michael
Hi, I was just wondering where I could download and print out a map of the Grampians National Park, as I need to know camping destinations that are close to activities.
Thanks :)
Hi Annie,
One of the best maps i found can be downloaded at:
https://www.parks.vic.gov.au/-/media/445d4b0e29534de0ab216e2075c2057f.pdf
It has a list of all the camping spots, amenities, roads, tracks, lookouts and much more.
Enjoy your trip… it’s a beautiful place!
Thanks.
