Coughlin Park

Coughlin Park is one of the several outdoor sports and recreational parks in Horsham.

It’s primarily used for tennis, cricket, lawn bowls, and AFL matches.

Several sports clubs call the park home, with them regularly frequenting the ovals and fields to practice. These include the Horsham Saints Football Club, Coughlin Park Bowls Club, Horsham Saints Cricket Club, and the St. Michaels and Johns Tennis Club.

The privately-owned park also includes a pavilion, which was renovated to better serve patrons and athletes. Other facilities include onsite parking, male and female changing rooms, a meeting room, storage room, kitchen, function room, benches, club rooms, and tennis courts.

Through community-funded donations, the park has gone a long way from once being a swampland. Coughlin Park is now one of the most important sporting venues in the area.

Several community events are held throughout the year at the park. If you have a chance, this is a great place to watch the local sports teams play.

The Wimmera River runs right behind the park, and it’s also close to several convenient amenities within the town such as hotels, a bowling club, restaurants, and cafes.
