The building’s rich history and heritage date back to 1938 and 1939, which was when it served as a municipal complex. Back then it only had a council meeting room, offices, a supper room, auditorium, and a tenancy. By 1899 to 1993, it underwent a redesign by famous Melbourne architect, Charles Neville Hollinshed. As one of the country’s top theatre designers, he gave the building a new facelift and a beautiful new auditorium. It was considered to be one of the most significant civic buildings outside Melbourne during the inter-war era.

From 1980 onwards, the Horsham Town Hall went through many more redevelopments and today is a premier entertainment venue. It boasts of modern design and world-class performance amenities, conference facilities, and state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment. It’s a popular venue of choice for many cultural groups, artists, as well as businesses, as they cater to expos, conferences, and seminars. The spacious theatre is accessible thanks to a flat floor foyer. Patrons can opt for accessible or disabled seats, though these seats aren’t available online.

The Horsham Town Hall is located at 71 Pynsent Street in Horsham. The box office is open Mondays through Fridays from 10am to 4pm. It’s also open an hour before show start times.
