Can you put a ski boat in anymore as the water level has dropped cheers
Hi Kristy,
I have checked the Visitgrampians and also the GWMWater website, and even though the water level is marked at currently being 33%, it still states that recreational activities are permitted; being boating, waterskiing, and jetskiiing.
So based on the official source, i would assume it is still fine to do so.
Thanks
Michael
I have a caravan and was wondering if there is a free camping area on lake Londsdale? Also, is there a boat ramp and is boating allowed on the lake?
Best regards,
Graeme
Hi Graeme,
There isn’t too much information available online about the specifics of fees (there seems to be conflicting information about if the camping is free or not).
As for a boat ramp and if boating is allowed, it’s mentioned on the Grampians Wimmera Mallee Water that “all boats must be launched from boat ramps” and “Lake Lonsdale hosts a number of activities on its northern side, such as boating, swimming, camping and water skiing”, so you shouldn’t have any issue.
Please see https://www.gwmwater.org.au/using-lakes-and-reservoirs/our-reservoirs/lake-lonsdale for more information.
Thanks
Michael
