Lord Nelson Park

Lord Nelson Park is a community space in St Arnaud that features recreational facilities available for public use.

These include netball courts, an oval, and a pavilion; all ideal for a day of sport and fun outdoors with friends.

It is also home to the St Arnaud Harness Racing Club, which has multiple race meets throughout the year. The track is 804.65 metres long, with a 150-metre home straight. There is a dining room that overlooks the track, a full TAB on-course and bookies on race day. Make sure to check out the St Arnaud Trotters Cup held in November each year.

In order to book a facility, guests will have to do so through the city council’s online booking. Facilities include change rooms, showers, shaded areas, a grassy sports area, and toilets.

The Northern Grampians Shire Council has recently received a funding boost to upgrade the facilities thanks to the Federal Government’s Sport Infrastructure grant program, so visitors can expect even better amenities in the near future. The grant will go to constructing new change rooms as well as a canteen.
