The park also is home to the “May and Millar Wagon” (known as the 3-tonne wagon), which was built by May and Millar, the original owners of the land that is modern-day May park. The wagon was built between 1890 and 1910 and was found in a paddock at Pimpinio, which has since been restored by the City of Horsham’s depot staff social club. The wagon was adapted for use at many social events and parades.
Visitors are encouraged to explore the park using the paved walking trails and bicycle paths.
For visitors who want to stay in Horsham a night or more, there are several affordable hotels and motels conveniently located near the park.
The tranquil neighbourhood makes this the ideal weekend getaway for families.
