The Piccaninny is a popular leisurely walk in the Grampians National Park.
It features a gradual track that is suitable for almost everyone from beginners to advanced hikers; you’ll be taken through picturesque open forests that show off wildflowers in all colours during Spring.

Part of the track will also take you through lush woodlands where you’ll get to a ridge lookout. Keep your eyes peeled for the many interesting plant species that call this area home; one of these is the spider flower also known as the Grevilia, which is native to this region.
The entire walk is just 2.4 kilometres back and forth, and it takes most people an hour and a half to complete. The best time to go is during the early morning or mid-afternoon when it isn’t too hot. The start and finish will be at the Piccaninny car park.
