The Grampians Ride to Remember is an annual event in which the community comes together to ride motorcycles from Ararat and around the Grampians region. The ride raises money for the Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation.
More than 300 people join the ride each year, and this year, the event will attract hundreds of community members to raise money for this worthy cause.

Victoria Police have endorsed the 196km Ride. They will start in Ararat at 9am and travel the rural countryside, including Crowlands, Joel South, through Stawell and onto Pomonal for Morning Tea again this year, then into the Grampians National Park via Halls Gap to Yarram Gap Rd, then back to Willaura, Maroona and onto Ararat for a relaxing lunch at the Alexandra Gardens.
Entry is $50 per rider/pillion, including the 2025 Commemorative Badge, Morning Tea & Picnic Lunch, Bottled Water, etc.
The popular Welcoming Dinner at the Ararat RSL is on Saturday night. Merchandising ordering will be available when registration opens on November 1st, 2024.
In the meantime, take care and keep safe. We look forward to welcoming you to Ararat for an enjoyable Ride in February.
So, if you have a registered motorbike and are fully licenced, come and join this event in the beautiful Grampians and donate to a great cause!
Can you tell me if a person with years of experience, but is on their L’s can ride in the Grampians Ride to Remember. Thank you.
Hi Terri,
I have searched the official website’s documentation and the only rules i could see are to wear “proper protective riding gear” and to “make sure your bike is in good riding condition with a safe amount of tread on your tyres.” I couldn’t see anything about licence types.
I did see a comment from someone over 10 years ago stating that they were on their learners and were going to participate for the first time.
I am inclined to say that you would be fine as you are allowed to ride on the roads now as it is, but to put your mind at ease, i would suggest reaching out to the organisers at their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/p/Ride-to-Remember-Grampians-100068335994416/, or the phone number or email listed on the page.
Thanks
Michael
