Norton Estate is the town’s most popular, and very first winery. It started back in 1996 when a wine-loving couple purchased land in Lower Norton, then turned it into a vineyard. Among the best wines grown here include Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Barangaroo Boutique Wines is another great destination among wine enthusiasts in Lower Norton. The spectacular vineyards and rustic cellar provides the ideal backdrop for hours of relaxing with friends and a glass of wine in hand. This family-owned and operated vineyard is tucked away among scenic barley and wheat fields, with lots of great areas for unwinding.

Barangaroo Boutique Wines is known for their excellent red wines: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Shiraz are highly recommended. A must-try is the Vermentino, an Italian white which is also their signature wine.

While in Lower Norton, families can also explore the diverse natural attractions nearby at the Mount Arapiles-Tooan State Park, with Mount Arapiles being a majestic feature as it rises out from the Wimmera plains. Rock climbing enthusiasts frequent the area because the mountain is known for some of the best routes – with over 2,000 of them to choose from.

Not to be missed either is the Horsham Regional Art Gallery close by. It features a stunning Art Deco Hall, a 500-seat theatre, and varying exhibitions and shows throughout the year that showcase Australian photography.

If you are looking for a place to stay, there are plenty of accommodation options available in Horsham.
